Happy New Year from OrangeSoftware!

  1. One suggestion (I don’t know how easy it is to implement):

ability to multi-include and -exclude categories from a filter or a budget. Like checkboxes for the categories, checking the ones you want to be included and leaving unchecked the ones you don’t.

Right now, it’s difficult to just make a filter for two-three specific categories at once, or creat a budget just for them, unless perhaps grouping them under another category, which isn’t always practical.

Thanks, and keep up the good work! This is one of the best apps for Android!

  2. Hi,

I wondered whether you’re still developing Financisto. There haven’t been many News lately, so I’m a little worried.

It’s probably my favourite App and the first one I’d willingly pay for.

So if you decide to make a commercial version and continue development consider me your fisrt customer.

    Greetings,

    Konrad

    • Hi, Konrad, yes I’m still developing Financisto. Appologizes that there’s been no updates lately, but I’m almost ready with the new version which will include CSV export and some bugfixes.

      • Great to hear that you’re still developing it! You know I almost can’t live without it ;)

Got a feature wish, perhaps not so straightforward to implement (I know how to code :p), but nevertheless really hope to have it: Store filter criteria for fast access.

In the “Reports” tab, most often I would tap “By Category” -> Filter button -> “This month” period, to see my income/expense category distribution of this month. It would be great if I can save this criteria as (e.g.) an item in the Reports tab so I can view it with one tap.

Less often I view “By Category” -> last month period, but it’s not built-in so I have to choose two dates myself, could you add an item for “Last month” ?

Same for other report types (by period, by location), even further filtering after “by period”, like “By period” -> This month -> filter by account etc. If the filter can be multi-select (checkbox) it would be more flexible to make reports tailored to personal needs.

P.S. I know it’s a freeware, and it’s already spectactular. Interface-wise I really prefer Financisto over SPB Finance, function-wise Financisto don’t have competition on Android … but human never rest content are we? :)

Personally I would like to support your work if you release a paid version, but here in Taiwan we can’t purchase anything from android market (yet) …

If you got Paypal I would happily donate ~usd 30 for it. Seriously.

        • I will add the features about filtering you suggesting to the roadmap, thanks!

The paid version is still in my plans, so hopefully I’ll release it sometime in the future. Btw, I’m now in Singapore and the paid market is not available here too, so it complicates things.
